About Us

Gail is a graduate of Truman State University in Missouri. Gail also was with Ernst & Young LLP for 14 years where he was a tax partner assigned to the Entrepreneurial Services Group which served start up, privately owned and small business clients. His prior experience includes 14 years with the Internal Revenue Service. Gail has presented technical seminars, lectures frequently and has published several articles on tax issues. He has also been an expert witness on income tax issues. Gail is a member of both the Colorado Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's.

Hugh is an original member of the firm and has been working for his clients for more than twenty years. He is experienced in all aspects of taxation including income, business, trust, gift and estate taxes. Hugh also has served his clients with business consulting with a focus on acquisition and sale of businesses including the many challenges facing start-up ventures. Hugh understands that expertise is vital to become a trusted advocate for any one of his clients but to truly serve someone a professional must be available, listen to the client, and do it all in a timely manner. Hugh enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, running and coaching. He is active with charities that focus on children and has finished both the Marine Corp and New York City marathons. Hugh is a member of both the Colorado Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's.

Mike brings more than 18 years of diverse tax, financial reporting and business consulting experience to the firm. He started with Marrs, Sevier & Company LLC in February 1989. Mike is an avid Broncos' fan and enjoys spending time with his family as well as his hobby in American muscle cars. He contributes time and financial support to the Jeffco Action Center. Mike is a member of both the Colorado Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's.

Sally graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Sally's tax experience includes working for the firm Ernst & Young LLP as a tax manger before she joined Marrs, Sevier & Company LLC in 1997. She has more than 28 years of public accounting experience and offers clients extensive experience related to complex individual tax compliance and planning needs. Sally works primarily with large family groups, which include individuals, partnerships, L.L.C.s, corporations, trusts. not-for-profits and estates. Sally values the relationships she forms with her clients and works closely with them to ensure quality tax and accounting services. Sally enjoys skiing, hiking, and spending time with her family. Sally is a member of both the Colorado Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's.
