Sevier, CPA - Gail was with Ernst & Young for 14 years where he was a tax partner assigned to the Entrepreneurial Services Group, which served start up, privately owned and small business clients.  His prior experience includes 14 years with the Internal Revenue Service.  Gail has presented technical seminars, lectures frequently and has published several articles on tax issues. He is a member of the Centennial Estate Planning Council and the Tax Division of the AICPA. Gail is a graduate of Truman State University in Missouri.   Robert P. Nadorff, CPA - Bob had seven years experience as an auditor with Arthur Young & Company.  He was Chief Financial Officer for a large public Colorado real estate company for 10 years.  He started his own practice in 1988 and later joined Pflieger, Alderman & Nadorff, P.C.  He is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Bob is the firm director of accounting and auditing.  Bob earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Regis University, Denver, Colorado.   Sally R. Peterson, CPA - Sally began her accounting career in 1988 with Ernst & Young where she was a tax manager. In 1998 she joined Marrs, Sevier & Company.   Sally's emphasis in practice is tax consulting, compliance and financial reporting. Sally graduated from the University of Tulsa. Hugh P. Marrs, CPA - Hugh worked in industry before his career in public accounting.  Hugh began his career in public accounting in 1995 and was one of the original employees of Marrs, Sevier & Company LLC. Hugh's emphasis in practice is tax consulting, compliance and accounting. Hugh is a graduate of the University of Colorado. Joanne P. Mathisen, CPA - In 1988 Joanne began her accounting career.  Joanne has focused her career on serving privately owned businesses and individuals.  This focus includes tax consulting, compliance and financial reporting.  Other areas of practice include audits of employee pension plans and payroll taxes. Joanne is a graduate of Northern Arizona University. Michael W. Sevier, CPA - Mike worked in industry before his career in public accounting.  Mike began his accounting career with Marrs, Sevier & Company in 1998.  Mike's emphasis in practice is tax, compliance, audit and financial reporting.  Mike graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver.

ASSOCIATES PRINCIPALS      Gerald D. Marrs, CPA -  Jerry's prior experience includes 14 years as partner in charge of the Denver Tax Department of Ernst & Young (and its predecessor Arthur Young) .  Jerry has taught national and local tax seminars and is a frequent guest on the Mike Rosen radio show, discussing recent tax law changes and answering questions.  Before joining Arthur & Young, Jerry worked for 12 years with the Internal Revenue Service (including 5 years as head of the Colorado Audit Division).  Jerry graduated with a BS degree from Northwest Missouri State University and earned his Masters degree from University of Missouri.  Jerry effectively retired as of October 17, 2011.   Terry M. Palmer, CPA - Terry was with Ernst & Young for 36 years, the last 23 years as a partner.  Terry has diverse financial, audit and accounting experience advising and working with small and mid-sized companies.  In addition, he has advised clients in business and strategic planning and merger and acquisition activities.  He has served on the Board of Directors of several business organizations, as well as educational and not-for-profit entities.  Terry's emphasis is in accounting and financial reporting. Terry earned his BSBA from  DrakeUniversity and a MBA from University of Denver.   Norman Pope, CPA - Norman has been in public accounting since 1971 and has a BBA and MS in Accounting. He worked for both regional and national accounting firms before starting his own practic in 1975. He is a member of the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is licensed in Colorado and South Dakota. Norman joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2008.         MANAGERS     Melinda Brewer, CPA - Melinda started her career in 1988 as an auditor with Ernst & Young LLP.  After four years she transferred to the tax department until she left in December 2004 to join Marrs, Sevier & Company LLC.  While at Ernst & Young, Melinda specialized in serving privately held businesses, and tax exempt organizations.  Melinda graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.   John Haberkorn, CPA- John is a graduate of Montana State University, Bozeman, earning a Masters of Professional Accountancy.  John has been working with Marrs, Sevier  & Company LLC since 2006 and has had attestation experience performing audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures for businesses that report on both an accrual and cash basis.  Experience includes working in the manufacturing, contract service, and not-for-profit sectors.  Tax experience includes preparing Federal and State income tax returns for individuals.   Karen R. Sevier, CPA, Tax Manager - Karen worked in industry before her career in public accounting.  Karen joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2000.  Karen's emphasis in practice is tax, compliance, accounting, audit and financial reporting.  Karen is a graduate of the University of Colorado.              STAFF ASSOCIATES     Eric Crennen, CPA - Eric is a graduate of Colorado State University. He began his career at Deloitte. Eric joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2008. Melanie Finn - Melanie is a graduate of Wichita State University where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2006.     Justin Gambill- Justin completed his undergraduate accounting education at Metropolitan State College of Denver.  He began his career in public tax accounting at Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2011.   Sheryl A. Mikuska, CPA, Audit Manager - Sheryl started her career in 1997 as an auditor with Ernst & Young, LLP where she worked three years.  Prior to joining Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2004, Sheryl gained further experience while working as a Business Manager for a private company.  Sheryl is a graduate of the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy.  Erika Wendelin, CPA- Erika is a graduate of the University of Wyoming. Erika began her career with the IRS. She joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2007.            ADMINISTRATION     Suzanne Goodwin, Office Manager - Suzanne has extensive experience as both an administrative assistant and office manager.  Suzanne has been the office manager at Marrs, Sevier & Co. since 1995.  Suzanne's emphasis in practice is organization and patience. She is a graduate of Ferris State University.            PART-TIME STAFF   Gail Allaman, CPA-        June Anne Curry, CPA-        Deborah Gillis, CPA- Deb has been a CPA since 1983 and worked with Arthur Young and Company for 9 years. She has a Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor degree from Colorado State University. She joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2002.     Michele Hoovler, CPA-     Jean Wells, CPA- Jean is a graduate of the University of Illinois where she received a Bachelor of Accountancy. Jean began her career for Ernst & Ernst in the tax department in the San Antonio, TX office. Jean has many years experience working in the tax department of CPA firms. She joined Marrs, Sevier & Company in 2007.     Our full time personnel, including the above principals, consist of fifteen CPAs, three staff accountants and an office manager. Our part-time professionals include eight CPAs, one staff accountant and two clerical assistants.
